This type of fishing is even more physically demanding than deep sea fishing which is saying something! This type of fishing does not take place in the deep sea but in a small boat anchored close to the coral reef or else standing on the reef itself. Wearing boots and no more than two people at a time, this type of fishing involves the bait being thrown into the deep beyond the reef. The fish caught are kingfishers, anything between 2 to 40kg- small compared with a deep sea catch! However the fish need to be brought in straight away without any help or harness. The fisherman will need to fight against the current, the strength of the waves against the reef and a fish fighting for its life. You will be splashed in the face, you’ll lose your footing on the rocks beneath you and you’ll be thigh deep in water...you may even have a small reef shark after your catch! All in all a real sport with lots of emotion!

The location is chosen depending on the clients’ wishes but it is also dependant on the moon, the swell and the tide. This is a tailor made service where all the equipment, the boots, snacks are organised....just bring your suntan lotion, sunglasses, change of clothes and a towel.
